Our Staff

Our staff provides a caring environment where children learn through the happiness and adventure of hands-on play. Our teachers are certified in CPR/First Aid and we participate in QPPS (Quality Preschool Program Standards). We are a 5 star accredited preschool through the QRS (Quality Rating System) in Iowa.

I was born and raised in Wahoo, Nebraska with my parents and younger sister Beth.  While growing up, I was a gymnast and eventually went to Iowa State on a gymnastics scholarship. I graduated from Iowa State with an Elementary Education degree. Along with my Elementary degree, I earned my Master’s in Educational Technology from University of Northern Iowa and my Reading and Early Childhood Endorsements from Iowa Wesleyan University. My husband Chris and I have three children:  Peyton, Piper and Sam. We are in the busy place of running our children to dance and soccer, but when we get our free time we love to camp, boat and, of course, cheer on the Iowa State Cyclones!!! I feel extremely privileged to work with your children and the wonderful staff at Noah’s Ark Preschool.  I am one of the lucky who gets to go to a job I love every day.”

I grew up on a farm outside of Buffalo and have lived in the area ever since.  Currently, I live on a small farm in Blue Grass.  I have three children:  Colton, Peyton, and Alexis. My husband works as a firefighter. Mr. Jeff visits and educates our preschoolers each year on fire safety.  I graduated from St. Ambrose University with a degree in Communications.  I worked for the QC Times until I became a stay at home mom in 2008. I spend a lot of time taking care of the animals on the farm, but when I have free time I love reading, sewing, scrapbooking, and outdoor activities.  All of my children have attended Noah's Ark , and I strongly believe in the values and education the children receive in the program. I am honored to be a part of the program and look forward to making a difference.

Hi! I am Miss Chris.  I have lived in Blue Grass for 21 years with my fabulous husband Steve. We have two children:  Olivia is working towards her Master's Degree at the University of Iowa, and Sebastian is earning his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Iowa also.  I started working at Noah's Ark in 1997. I took a few years off to stay home with my children, but couldn't stay away!  My life consists of any activity my children are involved with.  I so love to teach your children!

I grew up in a small town in Northern Minnesota along with my three brothers. I attended the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN and graduated with a degree in elementary education. I taught elementary school in Montana, Minnesota, and Iowa. I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Iowa State University and an Early Childhood endorsement from Drake University. My husband Johnny and I have three children: Sophia, Cameron, and Owen.  We also have a dog named Breesy! In my free time, I love drag racing my Nova.  I also enjoy scrapbooking, reading and watching football.

Hi! I am Miss Becca!  I teach math and science, which I think is so much fun! My job is so rewarding and I love it when a child learns a new skill that they  have been working on! It's awesome to see them light up with confidence!!

For my personal life, I am married to my husband Scott, and we have two wonderful children! Our daughter is a graduate of St. Ambrose and our son is a senior at Iowa.  I am very lucky to be able to play volleyball with my daughter on a few teams. I enjoy watching my kids in their activities like baseball, volleyball and wrestling.  I love to spend time with my family camping, playing volleyball, swimming in our pool with our dog, playing board games and watching our favorite shows on TV.

As one of your child's teachers I feel it is very important that your child learns in a fun and happy environment!! I love my job, and I feel so lucky to be able to teach your child. I look forward to a new year of new faces and new personalities!
